Hey All!

I'm considering whether to apply to Leiden's Public International Law, L.L.M program, and would appreciate any thoughts and/or advice.

Admissions Requirements?

I have a J.D., (Juris Doctorate) from a top 50 ABA Law School, as well as a B.A from top 50 university (global ranking). (Note: I realize ranking colleges is arbitrary and probably means nothing).

What type of student is Leiden looking for? What area/s of a prospective student's application does the admissions committee value most? Grades? Professional Experience? Letters of Recommendation? Personal Statement?

Value of Leiden's L.L.M?

Will an L.L.M from Leiden open doors for an American lawyer interested in practicing law, internationally? With international institutions? NGOs? Governments? Private Firms?

Difficulty of Program?

How difficult is the program? How do American lawyers generally fair?

Thanks for all of your advice! I greatly appreciate it and I'll let you know how it goes.
