Hello guys! I applied for the (regular) LLM in Public International Law back in March and waiting for a reply..are there many of you still waiting for the application status to be changed? If so,are you aware if there is a final date on which desicions are made? (ex this month, next month,etc)

Hi! I applied in february and got my answer about one month ago. Are you european or not? That might change the timing a little bit. I believe you should get your answer soon, but I can't assure that.

Hi chiaraskol! I am european so I thought that might reflect a quicker response..I don't mind waiting since I find th programme amazing, I just thought that two and a half months is quite a long period of time.

Have you contacted your International Programmes Officer yet? Perhaps he/she may tell you more about the status of your application. PIL is a very popular programme so I assume they must very busy with all the applications.

thank you so much for your response. Actually I have contacted her more than once..she is extremely kind, yet she could only tell me that she thinks they will reply soon, but nothing more. As you mentioned it's very popular so I think they must be full of applications right now.

Hi Fanny! I saw somewhere on the University's website that the decision period varies between 4 to 6 weeks (sorry, I can't manage to find the link now...). Maybe your process took longer in some of the steps before that but If I were you I would insist!

Hi Maria! Yes indeed, this is the period they mention both on the site and the e-mail you get when you apply..After I applied, it only took 5 days for the status to be updated to "sent to faculty" (since there were no documents missing, etc). I also sent them my ielts results just in case it fastened the process.. Thank you so much for trying to explain the delay!! I sent an email twice just to check but I was only informed that the faculty has been sent a reminder.. insisting, as you said- so correctly!

Thanks everyone for their replies, I got in a few days ago!! Does anyone whos is currently or was doing this LLM know the exact date of classes ending in the summer? Apart from the September 1 beggining date, the site is not very clear about the ending date. An assistant of the international officer told me since it's a one year programme it ends in August, yet from what I hear from friends in the Netherlands classes should be ending anytime now.

Regarding the accomodation issue, I called them on Friday and they told me that they are fully booked. (The fee deadline was indeed June 1st,but I got accepted on June 3rd so they didn't accept my housing request).
I don't know if this is any help, it's all the info I have :/

@Fanny: I called up the Housing Office and they told me the same thing. I'm in the same boat as you as I was offered after the June 1 deadline.
I called up the programme coordinator to enquire as to semester dates and she said they were not finalised yet.

@ duriangray this is very helpful! Although I wish we were admitted sooner, it's glad to hear that someone else is experiencing the same thing. From what I hear from a friend whos just finished her LLM at Leiden, it's a good season to find an apartment since there are many available. As for the dates, at least we know that they don't know either, instead of no info at all!
