Hi fanny !
I'm really happy to get to know you who are interested in same field of study.
I plan to apply to Leiden PIL next year.
Can i ask you something?
I really want to know the e-mail address to contact Leiden law school officer.
I already sent e-mail to the e-mail address on Leiden website.
But, I couldn't get a reply.
would you let me know the e-mail address that you use to contact her?

Hi jeyun8835 !! I think you should definitely apply for the PIL programme ! What was the e-mail address you chose ? If it was the Programme Coordinator's, Mrs. Mette Leons, she does reply but she is extremely busy (especially these days). You may want to try the Information Center (informatiecentrum@leidenuniv.nl) ; although their consulting role is more general, they reply fast so they might guide towards the right e-mail! As for me (and most students), after applying, we are assigned a specific Officer that is our primary contact, just so we all don't bomb with questions only one person . Feel free to ask for anything else and good luck !!

Hey guys,

Congratulations for you!

I'm interested to apply for the same programme next year. So I have one question:
What do you think which grades you need to be accepted by Leiden? Because I didn't find any requirements on the website. Unfortunately my average is 3,3/5. Do I have a chance to be accepted?

Thanks for advance!

Can I ask you one more?
I know that there are two kind of llm in leiden PIL, which is regular llm and advanced llm.
Which llm did you apply for ?
And do you know the difference between regular and advenced?

Lastly, I really hope that you have a good time in leiden.

@ Emily, to be honest I have no idea what kind of grades they ask for.. I had a high 2:1 and it was enough to get me in.

@Jeyn, Yes, there are indeed. I am a regural PIL master student. The basic difference is that the Advanced Programme is basically what its title implies;advanced. It's for people who already have a master or experience in the field, or exceptional grades or research backgrounf I guess.. you could call it a master of type 2. Plus, you have to do a mandatory internship after your studies.

Hi divyangana !
Nice to meet you!
I also plan to apply for 2016 PIL in leiden.
My friend who already got admission last year said to me that getting a admission is not dificult.
If we meet the requirement of leiden, we could get a good news.
Good luck.
And I really want to meet you in leiden.

@ Divyangana

Hm... i don't know exactly about the possibility to ge a admission.
But, my friend advised me not to worry before trying.
I know that leiden require toefl score and recommend letter and so on.
If you plan to apply in 2016 or 2017, you have enough time to prepare manything.
I believe that you would get a admission in 2016.
This is because leiden would also know yor passion.

I don't also have any experience and master degree.
But, my friend who are in leiden pil now didn' t also have any experience.

Where are you from? And why are you interested in internatiinal criminal law?
I'm korean and I interested in the role of international court like ICJ and ICC
I want to keep contact with you and share the informaton.
My email address is jeyun8835@hanmail.net
I will wait for an e-mail from you.
Korean time is 1:35 AM now.
I have to go to bed. Bye~

i will come to leiden in 2016 for the course too.
Maybe...To solve your question, .it would be exact to ask to leiden officer.
But, these days, they are very busy.
It is better to contact them later.
I'am also researching about advanced course.
So, if I get to know about your questions, I will let you know.

Have a good day~ ^^

Hi, I got a e-mail from Leiden student center.
He said that we should send e-mail to this address "advancedpil@law.leidenuniv.nl " to get the information about advanced llm course.
And, they also said to me that leiden is very busy now due to the registration period and you can expect a reply on your email within approximately 4 working days from advanced course officer.
Divyangana!
I hope that this information would be helpful for you.

I got a reply from leiden.
They said that advanced llm is for the people who have LLM or who have LLB with any ecperience or research in regard to Public international law.
But, they also said that students can apply to both corse. And drector of each llm would decide..
Divyangana !
Can I ask one thing?
Why do you want to apply for advanced llm not regular llm ?
