Hello - I have been offered a position for the Leiden Adv. LLM in Public International Law (Peace, Justice and Development). I am waiting to hear back from the LExS before I make a final decision.
Anyone else in a similar position?
I have heard mixed reviews about the program, so if anyone has done it, or has any other form of insight, I would really appreciate your advice. I am particularly interested in the job prospects following the degree, and how enjoyable/worthwhile it is to begin with.
Thanks!

I am in exactly the same position as you, but for the other Advanced LL.M. (International Criminal Law). I hope they send out the LExS results soon!

Good to know there are others in the same boat.
Anyone know of other scholarships still open for this program (not including LExS)?

I've been "conditionally accepted" for the Adv LLM in PIL (International Criminal Law), I'm very concerned with job prospects at international courts or organizations. I read in the Leiden website that studying at the Hague would be perfect for internships. I'm just not sure how true that is or if I can achieve that even if I decide to study in the USA.

Hi, everyone. I've been conditionally accepted to the Advanced Masters in PIL programme. I was wondering if there's any existing WhatsApp/Facebook group consisting of people accepted to/enrolled in the 2020 batch. Please let me know if you'e heard about it! Thanks!

The Hague has some great internships, that's for sure. International Criminal Court and International Court of Justice offer a lot of internships, but pretty much all of them require you to work 5 days a week for 6 months so that's something to look at after your studies. It's kinda impossible to study full-time and do an internship that requires you to work 5 days a week (900) at the same time.

Hello. I also got accepted for an Advanced Masters at Leiden University. For Masters in International Dispute Settlement and Arbitration Law. Are there any other options for scholarships besides the Excellence one?

Hi, Leiden has a bunch of scholarships listed on this page -
https://www.universiteitleiden.nl/en/scholarships
You can filter based on specific faculties/programme etc.
Also, will you be enrolling this September, or are you considering deferring? I've been accepted to the Advanced Masters in PIL, and I'm trying to find other admitted students to form a whatsapp group lol.

Hi! You can check Leiden's scholarships page to see if any of them, apart from the Lexes one applies to you.

Also, are you considering starting in September or potentially deferring due to COVID? I've been admitted to the Advanced Masters in PIL, and I'm looking for other admitted students, so we can engage and maybe find housing together.

Have you received Leiden's email regarding possibility of switching to online classes in case face-to-face education won't be possible coz of corona virus? I just want to hear your thoughts on the matter. Will you push through with your LLM if it is online?

Unfortunately, at this stage no one knows.. Would be really helpful if someone studying there had an insight into the plans of the university for the forthcoming year..
