Kings College London or Georgetown?

Which would you choose?

Clearly a big difference in terms of price - but what about academic experience? Work prospects? Prestige? International law at GULC and probably Competition Law at KCL.

Any help is appreciated!

hey Globalawyer,

It really depends on where you want to work after you complete your LLM. If you are aiming at staying in US, Georgetown is definitely a better suited institution. Europe is open for both graduates from US and EU, but if you want to specialize in Competition Law then go for King's. I would dare to assume the LLM body in King's is bigger then the one at GULC (as it takes 370 students compared to GULC which takes less) and hence a different opportunity for networking. Also, living in London is VERY VERY different from living in the campus at GULC... I would make a list if I were you in terms of academic priorities and then make a goood calculation of costs that would be associated with each of the programs - this should help you decide...

hope this helped;)
