Hi there,
I will probably go for the same LLM program but I didn't take a final decision...in that case I'll let you know for the house if still interested.
Furthermore, I would like to ask you something. I am very confused because all the unis I have applied for sent me an offer (Vienna, Tilburg/Leuven, KCL, Mastricht etc) and although I know Leiden is one of the best, I also think is one of the most expensive....I would appreciate your advice.
Many thanks.

I went to Leiden, and I don't think it's one of the best. Their LL.M. programme accepts a lot of students, which means not only large class sizes but also many students who have never taken any international law before. I think their advanced master's is better, it is a real masters. The regular LL.M. masters would be called a certificate programme in any other country, because it is mainly a bunch of beginner courses.
If you do go to Leiden, I would strongly recommend against using the university's housing (run by SLS Wonen). It is close to the university but that's it. It's too expensive, they don't fix problems (months without working internet, no hot water for parts of November) and they raised rent in February with no notice! There are quite a few apartments in Leiden, but even living in a nearby suburb is better than using the student housing.

Hello there.
I will also attend the Adv LLM in international Tax Law this fall. I already have solved my housing issues, but it would be great to talk a little bit more with those of you that are attending the same program, in order to arrive the first day with some acquaintances.

I will be staying in one of the University Housing options, but I have the email of an independent agent, his name is Chris Turk and he was really helpful. christurk@remax.nl

The only problem is his commission, but may be you could sort something out.

The International Student Network for Leiden university also has a housing listing here:
http://www.isn-rleiden.nl/Leiden_website/index.php?ac=24
(I might also mention that the student housing can charge up to 500 euros for a room, but skimp on toilet paper. You can do better than student housing offered by the university :)
