Hi,
I am a lawyer from latinamerica (5 years in a international l aw firm in my country). I would like to obtain a degree from Paris 2 that gives me access to the french legal market.
The two options that I have are (1) a D.S.U Droit Des affaires; (2) LLm Droit des Affaires et droit francais, europeen et international des affaires.
Could you give some comments on thse programs? D.S.U. is more for foreign studens that return to their countries and LLM could be recognized in Europe or France?
Thanks,
L.G.
D.S.U. OR LLM?

Hi Angel Santana
To have a shot at the French legal market you will need (i) either a DEA or a DESS with top grades, and (ii) the Paris bar. The alternative is a top US LLM together with the NY bar.
I'm afraid that neither the French LLM or the DSU are prestigious. A DSU will make it easier for you to get into a good DEA or DESS, and a LLM from a top 5 US university together with the NY bar will give you access to the French legal market.
Sorry for the bad news, but it is very difficult to make it onto the French legal scene without the Paris or NY bar, even for French students.

Thanks.
What about the specialized master oferred by the "Grande Ecole" (HEC, ESSEC, etc. )? I was accepted by the Specialized Master in International Bussiness Law and Management From ESSEC. According to the information that I obtained the "Grande Ecole" programs have a good reputation in the market.
Thanks for your comments!!!
