My dear fellow students already in Stockholm,I am quite interested in costs of life in Stockholm,or any other Swedish town per month.
What are the costs of housing, food, and other expenses you can think of?I found some info on certain sites, but it would be much better if it came from someone actually there!
Thank you my friends!

Hi,
Living costs in Sweden are pretty expensive. For Stockholm, one of the most expensive issues is living.
A Swedish person taking the govt loan would be allowed app 8000 SEK per month but that is the very minimum. A room in a shared apartment would cost 3000 SEK and up. Your own apt, would be more - say 4000 SEK and more. Food, calculate around 2000 SEK per month, minimum. Books are quite expensive but you can get them second hand or online. Transportation is 690 SEK per month (in Stockholm). For other cities, you could probably reduce all numbers some.
Furthermore, to get a visa there is a minimum you have to show that you have, I dont know how much but would guess it is between 8000 SEK per month.
Good luck!

Thank you my friend! These prices are quite lower than I expected, because I was rather pessimistic about Scandinavian living expenses,so I was hoping it will be 1000Euros minimum.
This sounds great!Thanks again!
