Hi! Thanks a lot!
Ok, i gonna call them, but when i have to do the toefl again, this is gonna take me more time, and so it will be really late!
This as well for letters....
Anyway, i gonna ask.
When were u sending them the application?
And why - do you think - did they reject u?

Thank u for the idea of sending me your letter... this would help a lot!

By the way, what do u think about doing the ll.m. at ilf in finance in this period of economical crisis? Is it worth it?
Because it costs quite a lot, and it seems to be that to be specialized in finance it's non so good in this moment.

I would have done well also something about corporate, but i don't find anything good in europe (and usa it's really too expensive)

Why was I rejected? No idea. Imagine I have 4 summer courses in London at LSE,KCL,SOAS and Westminster, 6 months Erasmus program in Sheffield (UK), 4 months work experience in a top Indian international law firm at its Delhi office, and tomorrow I am going for another internship in Singapore at Watson,Farley&Williams...so my background is good enough, but you never know the criteria. Moreover, I had 2 very nice reference letters, so If with all this package I was not eligible..

By the end of the LLM, October 2010, crisis will be roughly over, if not January 2011 for sure, then one with a LLM in Finance will be very attractive to law firms.

I am going to take a LLM Corporate in Nottingham. Please, do not tell me that you do not find anything good in Europe!!!!! London School of Economics, King's College London, University College of London, Durham, Glasgow, Edinburg....how can you say that? There are hundreds of LLM Corporate. I am going to Nottingham because of the modules offered, I have found them very interesting and very specialized and is only focus on Corporate, anything else.

Hello Alexia,

Since you have been in Frankfurt for quite some time, can you tell me if the monthly allowance of 900 Euro sufficient? I am not from Europe and I don't have an accurate idea of the cost of living there. I am a scholar, and my sponsor will base the monthly allowance that it will actually give me solely on the statement and estimate of ILF, i.e, 900 Euro. According to my friend who studied in Germany for four years, that amount may cover only the rent and food, excluding miscellaneous expenses like additional materials for school, emergency needs and insurance. If the usual rent for a dormitory room is 400 Euro, that will leave me with 500 Euro a month, or 16.666 Euro a day.I am afraid that with this allowance I have to shell out some of my personal funds to afford a decent living condition.

I'd would say 900 covers everything and if u have a chance to get dorm, it for sure would not be more than 350. mine is 225 euro and i know some students got 180 euro! so dont worry

hope this helps
