Any news guys?
Nothing yet. This silence is deafening. I saw on last year's thread that someone who had applied for the scholarship recieved confimation around the end of February, so fingers crossed.

Hello guys, i've just applied yesterday (LLM Non Scholarship).
Good luck for everyone who'll be applying for this year too!
Feel free to share any updates on your application here..

We might have to wait until the first week of March I guess

I think the results are out. I just got an offer from the Academy, unfortunately I did not pass for the scholarship. Considering the cost of the Academy I might have to decline the offer

Congrats! I know it is a bittersweet response, but I hope you figure something out for GA or other master's.
Did anyone else hear back?

Hey, I'm sorry that you won't be able to continue. Will you consider applying again next year? I read on GA's Instagram post that they're looking for more sponsor. Hopefully they'll find more sponsor next year.
Also, I thought that if you are on scholarship track it's either you got accepted for scholarship+admitted to GA or not at all. Apparently they're giving the applicants another option this year..

It must be a real bittersweet moment, I'm not even certain if we should be congratulating you or what because I'm pretty sure everyone here can put themselves in your shoes and know how upsetting this must be.
Would you mind teling us when you applyed and for which one you did, LLM or MTJ?

I think part of the reason they asked for the CHF 150,00 fee this year was so that they could get some more money for the scholarships. In their website they said every year they get around 500 people applying for the programs w/ scholarship so it would mean CHF 75.000,00 already, which is around 4 scholarships, not to mention the remaining students which apply for the programs without the scholarships.

hello everyone, firstly thank you very much for your words of encouragement. Although it may be bittersweet but I am sure my withdrawal will bring opportunities for others that is equally as deserving.
I’ve actually applied last year and I was also unsuccessful in terms of both scholarship and admissions, but at the time I was a fresh graduate and had no work experience so I wasn't expecting much. Similarly to you I was also surprised they offered me a place even though I applied through the full scholarship track because last year I was directly rejected. Maybe they changed their policy (?). I work in research and in the email they were interested with my background and academics credentials but unfortunately they are unable to secure fundings for me so maybe It depends on each cases too i think.
Whether I’d apply again next year? It depends on the outcome of my other masters application. Btw I applied for the MTJ
Good luck everyone!!

Hey guys!
I am writing to inform you that two days ago I received an email from GA telling me that I have been admitted for the LLM, I didn't apply for a scholarship so I understand that maybe that's why I got the result earlier.
However, and after reading many blog posts hahaha I don't know if I feel ready enough to take this LLM. From what I've read, people who are studying it have a practical knowledge of human rights and I have a theoretical one. Also the people are people who have previous experience from their work and I still don't have any previous experience and that terrifies me.
I have also been admitted to another university in England which is objectively easier than GA. What would you do? I'm very confused hahaha

Congrats!! I don't know what other university you are accepted to. However, I am sure that if GA accepted you, then they believe you would do well at GA. So, I would not be too worried about not being ready. Anyhow, congratulations and good luck with your decision!

I agree with Carol.

Any news guys?
Hey! I got accepted this week into the LLM in IHL and HR and was wondering if there are any others here who got accepted as well?
Also, out of curosity, does anyone know what their acceptance rate is? ie how many apply and how many they take?

I really don't think you should pass on this oportunity, I know a few people who have gone through this LLM as their first step in the humanitarian career and they are now all ICRC expats, I have talked to some of them, and for what they told me this LLM is a 50/50 when it comes to students with theoretical and practical knowledge.
