I am considering doing an LLM at UoL External Programme by distance learning, after having thouroughly studied the respective home page and materials.

Neverheless a few questions remain regarding this programme.

Though I can conclude from earlier postings from CMiller et alteri that UoL is a highly reputable adress, I nevertheless wonder how the employers in the UK or elsewhere generally perceive UoL LLM and especially distance Learning LLM's.

Will obtaining an LLM enhance career perspectives so as it will enable to apply with a reputable law firm in the City (Freshfields, Clifford, Lovells, Herbert Smith and consorts).

Can somebody who passed the external LLM programme me whether it benefitted him personally (did you learn much, how's the teaching etc, did it enhance your professional expertise etc ?) and with regard to his career opportunities (employers perception) etc.

Can you after all recommend doing the LLM at UoL.

i an LLB, PhD from Switzerland with roughly four years practice at a court and in major international law firm.

Many thanks for sharing your insights!

Kind regards
