Distance Learning combined with on campus experience

panadi

Hello,
I am currently starting my own law firm and I have two paralegals working for me. I would like for them to eventually graduate law school and obtain an LLM (very important to our clients). However, I cannot afford to let them go for a year as business will suffer and they have family obligations. Do you know of a program that will allow them to travel abroad for a semester (I want them to experience the whole "law school experience" as I did) and then continue to study at home via distance education? My law firm will be covering these expenses so costs are not an issue. Important: the program must be in English.
Thanks!!!

You could contact the University of Edinburgh about their programmes. Depending on what subjects they would like to take degrees in. Edinburgh's distance programme closely tracks the taught programme thus it might be possible for them to spend a semester in the taught course then complete the LLM by distance. For information on the courses available, follow this link. http://www.law.ed.ac.uk/ahrc/teaching/

You could contact Prof Laurie to see if the split programme would be available. Graeme.Laurie@ed.ac.uk

We offer the possibility for combination residential and distance modality programming - for persons with an LLB or equivalent.

I've had my LLM program online since 1998 in the USA. Our residential LLM is in San Diego, though we offer (Northern Hemisphere) summer courses in Nice (France) and in China.

check us out at http://www.llmprogram.org and http://www.tjsl.edu
