No, you don’t. They will allot a supervisor for you if you secure an admission.

I applied for the llm with thesis and got accepted right away. I applied two years ago, and they took a while to get back to me, I think it was may. Although I requested the thesis option, they said no professor was available but offered me the coursework program. I ended up rejecting it. Which one did you apply to?
