Has anyone made into UBC 2010 LLM program. If so, then please indicate the date of your application and also when the decision was communicated to you. It will help everyone to gauge typical processing time.

For better or worse, there aren't a whole lot of people on this forum that are interested in Canadian schools - it is almost entirely focused on the US and UK, which can be frustrating. While I did apply to a number of Canadian schools and will almost certainly end up in Canada, I didn't apply to either UBC or Ottawa, so I can't help you on your specific questions. (Had you wanted info about Toronto, McGill or Dal, I might have been able to help...).

Anyway, would assume you should probably hear something soon. We are starting to get near the decision deadlines for other schools, so UBC and Ottawa can't drag things out too much longer.

Thanks NYC_Charles for your reply.
My short experience on this forum also suggests that it is difficult to find information if one is not targeting US or UK schools. In addition to UBC and UOO, I also applied to McGill but my application was completed just before the deadline and it has been marked Ready for Review for a while now. Although, McGill has started giving out decisions but it seems and I am certain that there are already so many other applicants, who applied earlier than I did and are still awaiting decisions. So, I am not hoping to hear from McGill any time soon.

Odd - I heard back from McGill about a month and a half ago (although I did get everything to them before the New Year), although I am still waiting to hear back from them about funding.

While I am thinking about it, though, I believe my application status stayed as "Ready to Review" until I received an offer from them (and perhaps for a few days after that). It never changed to "Under Review" or anything like that.

I have also admitted to UBC (llm program comon law) and Mcgill llm in the institute of comparative law. I have received my McGill admission about a month and a half ago, but I received my UBC offer today. which do you prefer. I am still thinking about my choice. I have not received any aid from mcgill yet. but my ubc offer is accompanied with a small amount of aid.

I believe aid decisions should be coming soon from McGill, if that's any help.

I was also admitted to the Institute of Comparative Law. I think the program looks really interesting, but am waiting to hear about funding. I have been offered a substantial amount of money elsewhere, so not sure I can justify it if I am paying entirely out of pocket.

Congrats to both of you for getting the admits.
Legalgirl, when did you apply for the UBC LLM.

Thanks,
I applied for UBC (common law: since I hate writing thesis) near a month and a half ago. It is near 10 days that they have answered me, UBC also offers 4000 US $ for financial aid. I am also waiting for other schools results.
