U of T Housing

Vanquish

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience with housing in the toronto area? I'm looking for a quiet room but since i'm not canadian it's hard to get information in relation to which residences and/or apartments fall into this criteria beyond looking at the specific websites.

Been looking up reviews for places like 89 chestnut and the toronto primrose hotel but the reviews have been mixed and pretty confusing. Alternatively, does anyone know of a nice neighbourhood with affordable bachelor's apartments?

Any recommendations anyone might have would be most helpful. Thanks

Hi, I am a LLM student at UofT. I live at Neil-Wycik Cooperative. It is really cheap ($420 at month, furnished, heat and phone included, etc.) for a room in a 4 room-appartment (with common kitchen and bathroom in the appartment). There is also a gym in the building. It is in Yonge downtown district, which is about 25-30 min by walk from the faculty of law. They match you with other students; you just need to apply. It is a student residence, so there are parties and other facilities. Pretty cool place. However, do not expect a nice appartment; it is clean, but not really beautiful. It is probably the cheapest place in this district (it is a cooperative, so they do not make money with rent). Check out the website:
