I am a UK law student and would love to do the LLM at U of T. I am interested in the Business law program. Does this get a lot of international students? Is it a well regarded program?
Would doing it in any way prepare me to work in Canada as a lawyer? Is this something I might ever be able to do, feasibly? If so, how could I go about it?
Many thanks.

I also got my LL.B in England (Essex) but am from the Toronto area, so I can offer you this....doing your LLM at UofT will not necessarily help you to practise law here. You would need to apply to the National Commitee on Accreditation in order to find out what credits or exams you will need to get before you can continue on with getting qualified here. However, I have been told that you may be able to obtain those exams/credits if you can work them into your LLM, which is what I am considering doing at this point.
Further, my mum works at UofT and I'm told that the LLM at UofT is approximately 50% foreign educated students and yes UofT law department has an excellant reputation! I hope that helps you out.
