Hello
I am currently in my final year and planning to apply for Mc Gill for my LLM
I have done my Bcom and ranked in top 12 of my college and currently in my final year LLB(toh the percentage of Indian universities are on lower side) and meet the academic requirements as per the Mc Gill credentials and also when i mailed them they said they would be taking my entire academic background into consideration.
I wanted to know if anyone from India had previously applied and been accepted?
I have no work experience as such, since i am doing my LLB immediately after my Bcom, though i have certain internships and research and have also been part of moot competitions.
I am not looking into practise after my LLM but looking to get a decent job in law firms
So my question is how good is Mc Gill university for getting jobs? And any other university which you can suggest?
Thank you
LLM in McGill

McGill is one of the best law schools in Canada.
That said, I'm assuming you mean that you're looking for a school that has a good network back in India? FYI simply completing an LLM in the country would not allow you to practice law in Canada.
In order to see what kind of alumni representation McGill has among law firms in India, maybe browse through LinkedIn profiles of attorneys working in the firms you are interested in, and see where they studied. This may also provide some clues about what other law schools you should be considering.

Thanks a lot, will do that
Just wanted an additional information, though a international LLM will not allow you to practise in that country, what are the chances of getting into a good law firm in Canada.
And Quebec doesnt have the NCA assessment right? I ll have to do it in Ontoria in case i have to get my LLB regconised there?
