Hello friends!!This is Harsh from India.I am new to the LLM Guide,so pardon my shortcomings if any.What I would like to know is what are the job opportunities for an immigrant lawyer in Canada in the field of Criminal Law ? I have a couple of years work ex here in India. I am planning to apply to the Univ Of Toronto and a few other Univs for LLM prog.

Harsh if u see the other posts an L.L.M in Canada will not help u in getting a job here as a lawyer. You might get a job in N.G.O's, legal aid, other corporates etc but then to finally qualify here as a lawyer you will have to give the NCA exams and then apply for the licensing procedure.

If ur ultimate goal is to immigrate to Canada, a LLM here is a good option but then be prepared to rough it out for a few years.
