Hi. Does anyone have any idea if Canadian universities are going to start physical classes for llm students joining the fall 2021 session?

They might start offline session once there is some good news on vaccination by the end of May or June. I hope so fall 2021 session will be offline. Btw have you received any offer letter from any university yet?

Hi HanaHaruki,

Hope you make it all schools. All the best.

I plan to apply for the GPLLM as well. Was wondering if you could share your experience.

I understand that one needs to prepare the statement and application and submit for the referees to receive an email for the recommendation. Is it the case? Also, do the referees receive standard questions to answer or for them to draft a recommendation in their own words without any question to answer. Sorry, a little clueless in this process.

Hey! The university is sending a standard LOR questionnaire for those referee who are not willing to write LOR on their own but it is always good choice to get LOR written by the profs and not rely much on the questionnaire format.

Hi, are you sure about that. If I am not wrong the uni sends a mail to the referee, instead of filling out the QnA is there an option to just upload a scanned copy of the LoR? But off course even the scanned copy of the LoR has to be sent from the email id of the referee.

Hello, yes the university sends the mail to the referees and they have to upload the copies be it scan or pdf or word but everything needs to be done by the referee.

Thank you! It’ll be online and offline (only one class will be offline but with the option for students to take it online), they confirmed it yesterday.

Hi! Applied to the fall intake for the LLMCL at UBC, Coursework LLM (International Business Law) at Osgoode, Coursework LLM at UofT and the LLM at McGill.

I have learned that Osgoode does give out early admission offers in December. Did anyone get one?

Cheers!

oh really! are they taking on rolling basis?

I'm not really sure about that. All I have heard is that some early decisions are sent out in December!

Actually I heard from Osgoode that they would only review the applications for Sep 2021 intake in 2021. So I don’t think they sent any offers in Dec 2020.

But given that they usually do start giving out offers in January itself, what could possibly be the reason for the hold up?

Hey I'm waiting to hear from UBC for September 2021 intake.

I got an offer letter from University of Montreal for Master in Business Law in a Global Context Program.
Their program is well structured, I wonder why it isn't popular among international lawyers?
