Canadian legal systems


Hi all!
I have applied to Mcgill, still waiting for an answer.
I was wodering if the legal system in ontario is the same as in Quebec. whether they use both common and civil law.
And whether it is usefull for a spanish to apply to canadian unis.

The legal system in Ontario is different from Quebec. The latter is the only province in Canada that is based in civil laws borrowed from the French European tradition, while Ontario (and the remaining provinces) are based on the common law.

As for whether you should apply... of course! There's no better way to expand international dialogue than have international lawyers and students working in and out of countries, including Canuckland. Er, Canada.
