NY bar exam qualification

Hi all - quick question:
If I did the conversion course (CPE) at the University of Westminster and the LPC and am now doing the LLM at the University of Texas, can I sit the NY bar?
I believe the LLM fulfills the durational requirement, and I would like to assert that the CPE + LPC fulfills the two-year substantive requirement.
I'm about 85% sure I'll be able to sit the exam, but that's not entirely comforting considering i've taken a year and $30,000 out of my life.

also, does anyone know if federal courts counts as a basic course in american law?

thanks!

I should add that i didn't get a training contract in the UK, although i did work in a NY law firm as a paralegal for two years afterwards (and before the llm).

i'm now being told i'm not eligible to sit the bar b/c i didn't train in the UK
