Hello there, I am bushra malik. I am an LLB graduate from the University of Leicester, UK. I intend to sit for the NY Bar Exam.. I would like to know whether it is mendatory for me to do an LLM from US in order to be eligible for the NY Exam or I can directly go for it. I am on the completion stage of my admission at NYLS for the LLM program in september 2013. The rules and regulations mentioned on the official NY Bar website regarding this is not clear to me. I would be highly thank ful of your advices and suggestions.

If you have concerns regarding your eligibility to sit for the bar exam I would urge you to contact the New York State Board of Law Examiners (the official government agency that administers the exam) rather than seeking the advice of total strangers on this blog who do not have the expertise to advise on NY's requirements.
