Hi,
I have a law degree from Trinity College Dublin and a Master's from Munich. I want to sit the New York bar exam - either in February 2011 or in July 2011 (going on the pass rates, statistically, at least, the July exam seems to be the one to do ;-)
I was wondering if anyone has had experience applying to do the New York bar exam, using a British or Irish law degree. The requirement is that you must have completed the necessary educational requirements - I am informed that anyone with a full Irish law degree should be ok and that it is sufficient to enter the website of (in Ireland) the Kings Inns 'recognised degrees' page.
Can anyone confirm this, or has anyone any tips (e.g. on whether or not using the eligibility check form on the New York BOLE website is a good idea)?
