California Bar Exam

I was looking at the thread on advance eligibility requirements for foreign students intending to take the NY bar exam in 2012.

I was wondering if there is a similar requirement for the California Bar Exam too. I don't want to be missing any deadline for the bar exam. If any of you have any idea, please let me know.

Thanks!

I see that Cal Bar Exam can be taken only by students who have a US social security number. So what about foreign nationals who earn their LLM degree in California?

Any info would be useful.

Check out the California Committee of Bar Examiners website.

Here's a link to their Admissions home page:
http://admissions.calbar.ca.gov/

And a link to some of the more specific rules:
http://rules.calbar.ca.gov/Rules/Title4AdmissionsandEducationalStandards.aspx

The Social Security question is answered there too.

Yes, if you are foreign lawyer, you can sit in California Bar with a certificate of good standing!

Good luck!
