am an Indian LLB student..................can anyone help me by providing information on the emtry requirements of La trobe,Monash,QUoT.......................please?

Applicants must be a graduate of a law degree of a jurisdiction other than Australia and show evidence of English language ability as follows:
*IELTS - A minimum overall band score of 6.5 with no individual band score less than 6.0
*TOEFL - Paper Based Test: A minimum score of 575 with a score of 5 or better in the Test of Written English
*TOEFL - Computer Based Test: A minimum score of 233 with a score of 5 in essay writing
*O Level English - A score of C or better in the Singapore, Hong Kong or British O level English exam
*English as the language of instruction in secondary and/or tertiary studies may be accepted
*Satisfactory mark or score in another examination or test acceptable to the University
*Completion of the English for Further Studies Advanced Stage 5B certificate at postgraduate level available for the La Trobe University Language Centre
Note: English test results must be no more than two years old.

Applicants should have qualified in the faculty for the degree of Bachelor of Laws with honours; or hold a legal qualification from the university or another educational institution deemed equivalent or a satisfactory substitute by the faculty board.

(i) completed the requirements for the degree of Bachelor of Laws of QUT
OR

Just wanted to know as to whether i would be eligible to practice in Australia once i am done with my LLM. I am a LLB degree holder and a practicing advocate in India. I would also be grateful if you could provide me info on as to which is the best uni to do an LLM in IP.

Sorry for intruding but I see Pharrell has yet to respond on this.

The quick answer to your question is that an Austrailan LLM does not allow you to practise law in Australia. You will have to complete certain LLB/JD course within a standard Australian law degree and thereafter fulfill the practical requirements.

Can't really comment on the IP LLM as I am not familiar with this specialisation! I undertook a cross-institutional course with Monash Law School and know that there are many students specialising in IP over there - however, I must admit I am not too impressed with their administrative end of things.
