Hello,
I have just finished my LLB (Hons) Law degree in the UK (still awaiting my degree classification), I'm 21 years old and am thinking of moving to Australia.
I was just wondering what I would be able to do with my degree over there, would I have to go to university again for three years or could I just take which ever course needed to qualify as a lawyer? How would I go about doing this?
Over here we have ILEX and I was going to do the Fast Track Graduate Diploma to qualify as a legal executive then maybe in a few years become a solicitor. If I moved to Australia I would qualify as a solicitor straight away rather than do what I was going to do over here.
Any help you can offer would be very much appreciated, I apologise if what I've said doesn't make much sense, I can elaborate if needed.
Kind regards,
Kerri-Ann James

Hi Kerri, My name is Nijhoom, I am currently living in the UK . I have completed my LLB(Hons) from the UK as well.At this moment I am doing my PLT course (you need to complete PLT course to be eligible to practice in Australia which you can do it from UK) and also completed other requirements to be eligible to practice as a barrister in NSW. You can e-mail me at blessfulhell@hotmail.com. I think I can help you out and give some suggestion about your enquiry.
