Applying to Sydney Law School

CassieM

Hi,

I am applying to Sydney Law school's LLM program and would ideally like to complete one semester in Germany and the other in Australia. However, I am seriously confused by some of the information posted on the University's site. I would be starting the program in July and would like to start in Germany, however, I am not sure what units are being offered in Germany for the July/2nd semester. And as such I am not sure whether I should be filling out the European application; I don't want to fill out the European application only to find out that I don't want to take most of the classes being offered while I am there. Also I am not sure what units (if I ever find out what they are) are semester long and what units are intensive units.

Please help!!!!

I think you should refer to the course description and time table available on the law school website. They provide full details of units offered in the first and second semesters as well as their schedules. As I have noticed, there are only a few subjects to be tought in Europe (but some are very interesting courses). I believe that if you read more carefully, you'll find which courses are offered in Germany and which are not.

You may find this link to be useful

As I have checked, I think there is just one unit which is International Commercial Litigation that will be taught in Berlin in July.

If you really can't find it, contact the law faculty.

Good luck!

Thank You so much for your response. I saw that there were only a few courses offered in Europe but thought that I must have missed something.

Thanks again
