I'm interested in applying to the Hong Kong universities for LLMs, but am worried that having zero knowledge of Cantonese or Mandarin will be a problem. Will this be the case or are the programmes really all conducted fully in English?

Having no knowledge of Mandarin or Cantonese is no problem in Hong Kong ; it helps for interaction with the locals but the standard of English in Hong Kong is really high, especially in the universities. The programs are all taught in English and they are heavily marketed toward overseas students.
