hi pradeep.im from chennai..i have completed b.com in 2009 and working in TCS now.Regd for 2010-12 batch of MBL,but have not been able to touch the books due to the time of my job,im in rotational shifts.so im thinking of studying wel and write the exams in Feb 2012,rather than wasting time and money by writing in June and failing miserably without any preparation.

The MBL Exams happens mostly in the first/2nd week of June / February. But a few times it has happened in the last week as well.

The time to pay the exam fees is already updated in the nls website.

We just need to keep in mind out of the 15000 odd students registered for this course till 2009/10 only about 500 have cleared the course.
So need to be serious and dedicated and there is NO shortcuts.

I am currently pursuing Bachelor of Technology course in Information Technology from MNNIT,Allahabad. I will complete my B.Tech by May 15,2011. My B.Tech degree(Graduation) will be awarded to me in somewhere around November. My questions are
1. Am I eligible to apply for the MBL course for session 2011-2013?
2. Currently I am placed in an MNC(Investment Bank) and I am planning to do MBA-Finance after 3-4 years. Will doing MBL give me an edge, when I will apply for IIMs and other MBA colleges in India ?
I will be highly grateful if someone answer my queries ASAP.

Please advise me.I regd for 2010-12 MBL course..I am eligible to write exams on June 2011.However,till now,i have not started preparing a bit..So i have now made up my mind to write the exams on February 2012.Is this decision right..And also pls tell me how much time i need to invest on preparing on a consistent regular basis as the pass % shows the quality of the course.

Thank you very much for your response.Your answer seems to be very pin pointed and honest,and not a just for sake feed back..thanks for that..and one more question,would you still advise me to write all the papers in June 2011?

1. I did the same thing as u, gave exams directly in Feb --- Wrong decision I will say, as giving in June as well will have surely helped me in understanding the pattern and I could have studied for one paper and could have cleared it.
2. I studied differently for different paper, Contract took about a month, but is worth it (about an hour daily), Banking took about 10 hours total, corporate about 15 hours. Industrial relations I have not done yet in detail and also Environment. (All these times include time spent on slides and last few year questions, which are repeated and hence if u go through them, u will score good)
3. The course is a normal course, it is not at all tough. The pass percentage is much better as compared to any Distance Learning course, as people do not study in a phased manner for such courses.
Both u and me didn't studied for full first year, that shows our attitude and hence, I was added in non-successful list in 2010.

Is it correct that exams of MBL June 2011, are also to be held at Delhi and Pune.
In the exam form options of three exam centres is there.

Is it true that in MBL, the 5 exams are followed by a viva of all 5 subjects on the 6th day?

I found the same mentioned on the website in the FAQ section.
