I'm an LLB student in China and will be graduating in July this year. I Just got offers from both McGill and UCL (Universtiy College of London).

McGill is my dream school because of the unique bijuralism in Quebec and the comparative study method intensively used there. Additionally, I learned French for more than one year and always hope it might be of some help in my future study.

But it seems UCL (University College of London) is more recognized than McGill internationallly. At least here in China, employers of both international and domestic law firms are much more familiar with universities located in London.

I understand doing an LL.M. is nothing more than an investment for carreer enhancement, and it will be more cost effective to go for those big brand names that everyone is familiar with rather than to pursue programs you have interest in but at less well kown institutions.

But before making my decision, would you guys tell me some reasons for which I should not reject McGill's offer? If there isn't any, I will be sending mail accepting UCL's this weekend...
