When was your application complete? Mine was just complete last week so wondering if it really takes 6-8 weeks.

And is this how you were notified of your acceptance or were you notified online first?

Thanks

I got in late last month to tax LLM and decided not to go (I'm either going to GULC or NYU if I get in), but I liked the portfolio they sent.

Kstar, if you do not mind telling, why did you prefered GULC over NU? Are you focusing in international law?

No, focusing on Estate Planning and I think GULC is better anyway (ranked #3 as opposed to #4 at NU).

Congrats! Ferero.

About how long it took for the AO from the application completion date to declare its decision?

Also are you expecting other offers?

Also do the 90 odd seats at NU are for general LLM candidates or also include IHR and tax students?

I just got an e-mail in which they confirm to have received my deposit today...I'm officially a NU student. see you there! I think the 90 spots includes IHR and Tax; don't know whether Kellogg llms must be counted in...

hello!
I was admitted to NU on MArch 10, but joined this site recently...waitlisted in NYU and Berkeley...
I´ve heard lots of goods things about NU but still would like to know if NU is at the same level to Schools like Chicago, Columbia and NYU when it comes to subjects related to business (Contratc Law, Corporations Law, Arbitration, etc)
Would mind sharing your opinion?
thank you

perhaps is even better fot the subjects you mentioned. besides, we're are talking about one of the top-10 schools in the country, and with the 4th Business school, where you may be able to take some courses perhaps (if interested). hope to see you in Chicago next fall!

sure I can. I chose NU 'cause was my the only program not just for future lawyers. I explain myself better: I don't want to become a lawyer or whatsoever other career related to law. So, NU program in IHR still seems to me the best option to pursue a career in policy-making related fields. Former ambassadors and politicians among their faculty sounds much better than professors with hundred publications. also, I'm waiting for a scholarship...that could be another excellent reason for which to choose NU over Duke and Cornell
