I got rejected today and I'm pretty devastated about it.

I've been accepted into both Edinburgh and Cambridge PhD's, but I need funding and Yale seemed like my best shot at that. Genuinely thought I was shoe-in given my credentials, research and the way LSAC evaluated my history, but alas...

Now waiting for scholarship decisions from Cambridge and Edinburgh and the admission to Oxford's MPhil. Just hope I'm not left without a program by the year's end =/

Sorry to hear that marcelo21, this is probably life pointing you in other direction. What is your research subject area btw? Best

I'm into jurisprudence, specifically legal interpretation. I sent an email with my research proposal to a professor in the faculty and they mentioned it's the kind of project they'd like to see at their JSD. This, combined with the (apparent) dearth of JSD candidates into the area at Yale, made me think I was very likely to get in.

Thanks a ton for the kind words and for taking the interest. I made that post because I just had to vent somewhere. What's your research field? Best of luck on your applications too!

My friend, how wonderful, I’m into the same research topic, exactly the same. Let’s DM, hope we can exchange our views on the matter. Hope you make it into Oxford, I just did so yesterday. All the best!
