I'm a LLB undergraduate from Sri Lanka and my final year results will be released soon. I have a huge regret that I could not target a 3.0 or higher GPA, so it will be a value around 2.4. The actual reason for this is I did not choose law school, but the law school chose me, so I did not take it seriously. But now, I am regretting it from the moon to the back! Now, although I have realized my fault, there is no going back.
I will be sitting for TOEFL sooner. These days I am preparing for my country's bar exam as well. I have worked as a research assistant for a UK author, volunteered as a legal consultant for a US-Sri Lanka based startup, done BCS professional exams (UK) and currently in the waiting list to be volunteered in the University Legal Aid Unit.
My husband is currently working in Minnesota with a E-2 Visa.
Would you please be kind enough to help me in figuring out my possibility of getting into a US LLM program in 2017. My main areas of interest are IP law, computer law and technology law.
Will I get in with a low GPA?

It depends. I think for top schools - NYU Harvard etc, a low GPA might be a big red flag, and it will be very hard to get admission.
Maybe if you target lower tier and regional schools, that are less competitive, this will be less of an issue.
A strong TOEFL score might help... as would solid legal work experience.
