Hi!
I am a current LL.M. student at BU Law American Law program from Azerbaijan and would be glad to share my thoughts with you! The program provides the most flexible wide range of classes related to all the most important areas of law including classes focused on regulation of international legal matters. LL.M. students are allowed to select any classes they are mostly interested in. Besides, the program offers students an option to choose concentration according to the major one is eager to pursue. The classes are taught in a live discussion manner by highly qualified professors with great global experience. The structure of legal education is based on case law system, which is the most challenging feature for students with legal background acquired from civil law countries. Beyond the high quality of academic environment, the program actively encourages students to participate in various social events organized specially for international students to get familiarized with US culture, traditions and expand the global experience. Students enrolled in the program are attorneys from all over the world and this is a great opportunity to share your culture and knowledge as well as to get familiarized with the one of theirs. The whole staff of Office of Graduate and International Program administrating the BU Laws LL.M. in American Law program is very kindly and friendly. They are always passionate to support and help LL.M. students having any academic and non-academic difficulties and do their best to make presence of international students here as the most remarkable year in their life. In my view, this program has everything any attorney might need for prospective successful global practice! Please, see below the link I am sending in case you would like to get more detailed information about the program. http://www.bu.edu/law/prospective/llm/american/
Hope, I could address your question to some extent and brief description of my personal experience would be of some help!
Best of luck!
