Where to go?

Hello.
So far, I got admitted to UPenn, Northwestern, Virginia, Georgetown. Although I'm still waiting for several law schools in Top 5, I wish to decide where to go and where I send the decline letters. And I wish to hear you guys opinion.

I'm pursuing to work in academic area, and I'm not that interested in business law (so, I will not take the Wharton Business and Law Certificate nor LLM/Kellogg).

Actually, I think UPenn would be my #1 priority so far, but I wish to hear some advice about these law schools (especially from someone who are in similar situation as mine).

Thank you very much.

ps) Wishing that other schools would decide as soon as possible. Waiting for mid-March is not that pleasant, actually sucks.. :-(

Hello, UZB. I'm from Korea. Of course I wish to go to Top 5 schools and didn't give up my hope yet. However, I also understand that these schools are so tough to get in. :-(

Best luck to both of us! Finger crossed!

None of the 2 comments above answered the question. I think you can go ahead and decline Georgetown. You will have similar prospects from Penn, Northwestern and Virginia.I can certainly understand your choice of Penn, but of the 3 of them, i dont believe choosing one over the other is a bad choice. It might boil down to finances(whether or not you receive scholarship and living expenses). I can tell you that it will be cheaper for you living in Virginia and Philadelphia, compared to Chicago. Chicago however, might provide you with the big city opportunities from the perspective of that you might never know who you'll meet/network with because it is to some degree, a legal hub.

With all the above said, you should wait to hear from other schools and then make a decision.

Where did you go to school? What is your background?
