Is Toni dead ? Hope not! Must be studying hard at Yale.
Anyway, josepidal and ivan2006, with roughly 200 posts each, seem to have more time available at HLS & NYU... :)
What happened to tmalmine ?

Don't know about Ivan, but my posting frequency here is directly correlated to the times I'm stuck in the library swimming through my research. It was either LLMGuide or Boredatlamont.com!

Dude what are they on - those guys (or g*y* should I say) at boredatlamont.com
Posted Mar 16, 2007 21:45
FYI boredatlamont is a website for all students who are bored at Harvard's Lamont Library

Tmalmine was on LLM-Guide this morning, but he does not seem to have time to update his blog. Too much work at YLS?

LOL
In case some less clever students got accepted by HLS:
Q: What are the rules of boredatlamont.com?
A: There is only one rule of boredatlamont.com keep it anonymous. To clarify what we mean by anonymous:

Well, the legend is an enormous exaggeration, but it is true that I've been absent from this board for a while. But now I'm back and posting with a vengeance:)

Jose, since you mentioned boredatlamont and other amusing facts of Harvard life, I thought that you should read what abovethelaw.com published today:

heh, I love the advertisement for "kangaroos in Austria" [sic] followed by the comment about Eurocentrism.
Kangaroos in Europe? Really?

Indeed, the kangaroo part is quite funny :-) Although I must say it´s sad to find out that there are so many LLM-haters around...

The gripe is not so much the fact that these busybodies are going gaga over our flyers. Nay -- although it is admittedly hard to fathom why anyone would seek commentary refuge on such a mediocre forum. The qualm is much rather what appears to be the deliberate effort by their source to sate their appetite by fabricating an imaginary chasm between students in the LL.M class. Sad. This kind of sensationalism for self-aggrandizement, whatever malevolent rationale or sparsely thought out good intentions, must be condemned in the strongest terms.
FACT. We have had a stellar LL.M year where we have had occasion to bond as friends. FACT. There have been no divisions in the class on whatever front, nor is there cause for discord. Needless to say though, such acts as have been alluded to heretofore, could potentially send the wrong signals and ruin the reminder of our remarkable year.
If there had been any misunderstandings surrounding the International Party, these were amicably resolved and dispensed with. It is urged that we further our cordiality and promote and maintain the cohesion that has kept us together thus far.
And if only to reiterate Dean Kagans communiqué on this subject, let us resist the temptation to originate or even contribute to discussions on such websites. Consequences borne out of that kind of fetish for gossip could have injurious ramifications to the reputations of innocent persons.
We, your representatives, affirm our dedication to the continued service of this wonderful and tightly-knit LLM community.
Thank you,
Your Reps,
SSMM"

3 things:
1) This may be a unique case, but by no means I would like to be part of the LLM community at Harvard right now....
2) I'm still thinking of what is worst... the LLM that is too focused in Law that doesn't know that Kangaroos live in Australia, or the other guy that wanted to show that he excels in english...
3) Now, more than ever, if you wanna be a Tax Lawyer, come to NYU.
Regards from NY!
