Are a good option? what do you think?

1. How it is seen by employers? the same that a taught LLM? or it is seen like something for academics and not for profissionals?

2. Is good for "networking"? more or less people? what kind of people?

I think that everything you do outside of what are strictly the LLM classes adds something valuable to your resume. It shows the employers some qualities/intangibles about yourself such as good research skills, commitment, sacrifice and your interest to learn...
To the question whether being a research assistant will get you a job...I think the answer is no. But definitely, it is something positive that blended with other items will help the employer to figure out how kind of person you are looking at your resume.
My advice, go for it.

No, sorry, perhaps I dont be clear! I wasnt talking about being a "research assistent", I was talking abaout "research LLMs o LLM by research" (are a different type of LLM: you have 2 king of LLMs, taught LLMS and research LLMs).
