Virginia/Michigan 2017-2018

Hi Guys,

I'm applying to several US law schools this year. Among my top preferences are both Michigan and UVA. They both seem to have small very selective programs. I think that Michigan's program is a bit more academic inclined that UVA, but I don't see many more big differences between both schools. They both seem to be excellent universities and programs. The admissions team in both schools have been awesome as well, extremely helpful and kind, which really makes a difference.

Could somebody help me out pointing out differences between these schools?

Many thanks!!

I am the graduates from UVA LLM, and I want to recommend our law school because we have very strong faculty and academic resources. Professors are really nice and helpful! We also have Peer advisor that can help you with everything during your law school life. The LLM group is very small and diverse, and the location of Charlottesville is warmer than Ann Arbor (UM might be freezing in winter), yet, you still can see the snow twice or third times in a year. We have the best quality of life among top law schools. And the location is better than UM because you are much easier to travel to DC or even Philly or NY (I mean east coast).
there are many activities during the school year, and you can join the public service program or any other organizations you are interested in. Virginia also has many historical places to visit. Moreover, we have very beautiful buildings of Rotunda that attracts many visitors for sure.
If you are interested in UVALAW, you can see this video. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7osdyaXQw7Q) Hope you enjoy your LLM life!
