Hello,
Let me ask the same question that's been flooding the boards on this website: reputation v. practicality
I am a corporate lawyer from South Korea and I got my admission letters from the University of Texas at Austin and Washington College of Law (American University).
Obviously, UT is a more reputable law school in terms of JD ranking, but I am wondering whether WCL will be more helpful when it comes to landing a job in the US afterwards. I do plan on returning to Korea, but I would like to have at least one year of experience at a US based international law firm.
So what do you guys think? Would WCL's geographic location offset its low ranking? Or is WCL's influence in D.C. overshadowed by its counterparts - Georgetown and George Washington?
Thanks in advance.
