It confirms that it is not applicable to LL.M. where the alumni network in your home country is the most decisive factor ...
In France for example, if you come from Duke (11), Cornell (13), Georgetown (14), the job opportunities will be greater than if you come from Berkeley (8) or Virginia (8) ... I'm not speaking of the top 5 schools of course ...

Isn't the large alumni network result from the fact that more students are able to be admitted into such schools ? I heard that it was very difficult for French students to get into Toronto (the top school in Canada) so consequently they get into other less known schools. I am sure it is the case also with US universities. So I believe popularity of schools in a foreign country does not mirror the real ranking. What really matters is the ranking from the US point of view - this is just my opinion.
