Ok, I was admitted to both LLM programs...(and still waiting on other decisions)
Any suggestions for either law school? Any other people who applied to USC or studied there?
Thanks in advance.

Georgetown is definitely better than USC (better reputation worldwide, better campus, better alumni affiliation, etc.).

I have also been admitted to USC LLM. I think it is a very good university, with good faculty, sunny campus, etc. Of course it is not a Harvard nor a Stanford, but it is a top 20 unniversity in the US, which indicates that it is better than a top 1 in most countries. Nevertheless, I will not accept USC`s offer, since Georgetown is clearly better, as Michael stated.

Thanks for your replies...that's what I thought, too...but just checking if there was something about USC that I ignored...
I would personally like to stay in the East coast anyways...
I still have to wait for what HLS and Columbia have to say...but otherwise I'll definitely accept Georgetown's offer as well.

Georgetown "clearly" better? Wow, you didn't do your homework. They're just about peers academically, and many would say that USC is better. I'm shocked.

Yeah - laughable, really! I chose USC over Georgetown, and I would do so again in a minute. Not that the rankings are accurate, but Georgetown is 2 slots ahead of USC right now, hardly a big difference. And I would submit that USC is actually better.

Yeah, it is really silly to choose a law school based solely on the rankings when the rankings are so close. The facts that Georgetown is ranked two spots higher than USC will make absolutely no difference in getting a job. If the choice was between Harvard and USC that would be different.

If may say something about the discussion... My understanding is that in the US it would not make too much difference between USC or Georgetown. Certainly, in terms of quality, it is not that different. However, outside the US, Georgetown has a stronger reputation. Before I started to really check the rankings my feeling was that Georgetown was a top 10 for sure. I believe Georgetown invested more to become recognized in other countries. Please note that I didnt study in these schools.

I beleive it is more diverse (in addition to the points above)

Hi, My name is Luis, I'm mexican and I'm thinking about doing an LLM on international legal studies with a concentration on International Trade Law. In your opinion, which US university offers the best International Trade Law program?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Well, I think it is more to do with the convenient place; all the four places - California, DC, NY and Chicago are good for the subject. Therefore, one may choose one of the best schools in each States and decide depending upon acceptance.
