Last year, I got admissions from USC, and UCLA.
Could you tell me which one is better choice?
I am considering LLM to JD transer program.
It looks like that there is no difference between the two options..
Any body knows the difference between the two schools?

from a ranking perspective, I believe UCLA would be much better.
My personal choice would also be UCLA!

Your ranking perspective might be a little off. :-) They are ranked 15th and 18th!

yes, you are correct - UCLA is 15th and USC is 18th. However, UCLA has a better international ranking (overall as a university in general).

I am currently a LLM student at USC and I would like to say that USC has a great reputation worldwide. It has alumni offices across the globe. Additionally, since it is a privately funded school, unlike UCLA, it provides more resources to students such as the Early Bar Prep program, funding for student organizations like the JD-LLM Partnership. I am extremely happy with the LLM Program at USC!

I think that you should go with what you think is more suitable to you. The reputation Worldwide usually does not matter that much, unless you are in a top 5 school, because Harvard is Harvard.
Regarding UCLA or USC you should look more for the soft factors, such as location, campus, class size, classes etc. I am pretty sure that both are great choices. I would have chosen UCLA over USC simply because of it's nice campus and great location.
But reputation actually is not an issue for these to. Though, I kind of think that UCLA might be a little bit more popular worldwide. But that's just a guess and refers to my country only...

Hey guys. I have been reading posts and people have been talking about the non-importance of the LLM program, that you don't even need it, etc.... I currently live in the US and want to continue living here I applied to USC and UCLA and these quotes made me interested, any comments?
