Hi all,
I'm thinking about applying for the NYU tax program and didnt know which program should I apply to - the ITP or the GTP - does anyone know if there is a difference in terms of admissions for non-US lawyers for either of them?

I'm an international student who is heading back to Canada to fulfill my articles of clerkship before returning to the U.S. for an LL.M. in taxation. From my research (though don't quote me on this), the main difference in terms of admission standards is that applicants to the GTP need to have taken a basic U.S. income tax course in a J.D. program, whereas applicants to ITP have no such requirement. Given that I did a tax concentration in my J.D. program, I plan on applying to GTP, but I think in the grand scheme of things the programs are relatively similar and an ITP student can surely take some corporate/estate/partnership classes if they choose.
