What realistic opportunities are out there for foreign LLM students from Ivy League law schools who want to pursue fellowships? Are organisations who sponsor said fellowships open to funding the visa etc of foreign students? I understand that they may be cash strapped and hence unwilling to invest in an foreign LLM student when they can instead hire an American JD student.

I am also wondering about this. I have seen LL.M. students with fellowships for organizations in the US and around the world at Columbia and Virginia. Not sure about fellowships at other universities, or organizations awarding them. I do not know how much of a disadvantage it is to be an LL.M. student, but I do assume it will be significantly harder. Not sure whether Ivy League matters that much!
