I am a resident of India and will probably be going to Georgetown in 2008. I want to enquire about the procedure for loans for International students having a US co- signor:
1. Are these loan granted by Banks or other private institutions? If yes, which banks etc grant such loans?
2. I heard that Citi Bank has the option of such loans, however after browsing through the web site I found a number of loans available for post grad/law studies. Which is the exact loan , that I need to apply for?
3. What is the procedure and the requirements/documents for applying for such a loan?
4. How long does the Bank take to confirm the grant of the loan?
5. What is the usual rate of Interest for such a loan and the repay period ?
I am quite confused about the loan thing and would appreciate all the help I can get.
Thanks.
