Urgent - Do i have good chances to NYU

Gosh

Hi everybody

I work as a lawyer for 9 years, and I applied for the dual LL.M at NYU and I want to know what are my chances to be accepted:

This is my profile:
1. Attorney for 9 years, I work in the commercial field
2. LL.B average 82/100 (concentration in commercial law) + LL.M 83/100 (concentration in commercial law)
3. Two recommendations: 1st from prof' in international law (studied in NYU); 2nd the owner of one of the best law firm in our country (excellent recommendation)`
4. Very good essays: personal statement, legal dilemma, personal contribution.
5. My Tofel score is 95/120

I know that my Tofel score is less than the requested score (100), so I ask you whether I have good chances to be accepted?

Thank's a lot for your help

From what I heard, NYU do not accept LLM's who didn't get the minimum score on the TOEFL exam, and BTW if I am not wrong, they also have a minimum for the writing chapter.

Good luck

i hear that some applicants get admitted despite of TOEFL socre unmet the minimum. Of course, other aspects of your application need to be strong. It sounds as if your academic score, recommendation score and essay are quite competitive. However, since NYU has many applicants, there may be a scenario that admission committe will simply cut candidates below minimum or 5 points below minimum. Why do not take more TOEFL and score above minimum? You can send the score later on (not 100% sure if the school will look at it though...)
