Penn gives scholarships. Last year my friend received a scholarship which covered 100% of his tuition. He is however a very talented lawyer with 7 years of experience. He was a Senior Associate in a leading law firm as well as a senior legal counsel of a major venture capital fund. BTW- He still hasn't found a job in the US (still looking without success...) The job market is scary. Bear this in mind

yes guys, it seems that nobody got scolarship in this stage.
I wish we can all get a homehow scholarship from Upenn. Studying there is really expensive.
I think we must wait to see.

Sorry legalgirl - I am not sure when he was offered a scholarship. I do not know whether he got it together with the offer of admission or at a later stage... I will try to get in touch with him to find out for you. In the meantime, congratulations.

A very limited number of merit grants are awarded to LL.M. applicants each year. These include those offered under the Penn Law European Society Scholarship and Penn Law Human Rights described on our website. All students are eligible to be considered for these grants. The International Programs Committee notifies all students selected to receive these awards during the month of March or April each year.

Hi there! When we apply UPenn LLM online, there's a question like this:
"School now offers financial assistance to outstanding LL.M. candidates with a demonstrated commitment to the field of public interest and/or human rights law. As part of this prestigious scholarship, selected students have the opportunity to participate in a human rights pro bono activity and to serve as a research assistant for a member of Penn Laws faculty during the academic year.
Would you like to be considered for this assistance?
YES/NO?

Should this be answered Yes if I need scholarship? Anyone could tell me what this scholarship is about?
Thank you.

Hi,
I first thank those answered my question, I guess we must wait to evaluate the whole admission package.
and to judgepro:
I think public interest andhuman rights law scholarships, are not the only scholarships available in Upenn, If you have not answered the question "yes", do not worry, wait till they decide on the scholarships in other feilds.(although I think the possibility of getting scholarship in public interest andhuman rights law is more than other feilds) Upenn is also very good school in trade, international, criminal and comparative law, they must considered some scholarships in these feilds too.
