Hello withprayers!
Also got admitted. Still hesitating. Any arguments why UIUC is a good option?
My concern is that it is not widely known and is situated in a small town (2 small towns :)). However, small size of LL.M classes and some more or less high ranks in some ratings are the advantages.
I would highly appreciate your thoughts. BTW, where are you from? Did you get any grant or scholarship?
Thanks in advance

Hi zzzubr- on contrary UIUC is one of the best and most well known universities in the world for various disciplines. Its law school is also very well known. Living in a small town is a personal choice but i would think that it shouldnt make that much of a difference. But as I said this is a personal preference. I read on the net that UIUC has the advantage of being close to the chcago legal market, but i think getting a job depends mainly on factors like work experience and performance in the law school.

Hi:
I highly recommend UIUC not only for its outstanding faculty, but also for its good environment. Here, a student can definitely delve into study as well as some real American culture(Northern U.S.). When people are crazy about top 10 law school, we should know that UIUC provides every element that top 10 law schools provide. The ranking is important, UIUC's ranking is good. If you want to have some real academic learning, here is even one of the best choices. UIUC is a definite YES!

Hi zzzubr. I would love to attend but I am still grappling with the finance issue and looking for more scholarships. Lets c what happens!! what about u?
I got scholarship (part of tuition costs), but am still hesitating. I am not going to work in the USA, so I am not concerned with the labour market situation in this region. And I liked how they treated me.
The problem is, let's face it, that the ranking of this university is not very high. And there is the Chicago university nearby which I suspect attracts the best professors leaving the Illinois university with what remained. This is just my guess, do not have any real facts. Will be happy if it is not so.
Anyway, thank you withprayers and good luck!!!
