Hi guys I am a third year law student with a good 2:1. I am hoping to apply to do an LLM in the UK but am also loooking USA universities. Just been finding it quite hard to narrow down universities where I would have a viable chance of getting in and one that offer scholarships too. I am interested so far in Boston, Georgetown Washindton, Michagan and Chicago. I just want to narrow it down to a list which is viable for me to and one where I have a chance of getting in.
Any advice from anyone from the UK who has done a masters in the US please help!
Thank you!

Hi,
The best advice I can offer is, unless you already have so exceptional experience, take a year out and get some legal experience. I graduated from Bristol with a 2:1 in 2015. Went to America and worked as a paralegal, and recently moved back to England where I am working at a law firm.
I recently applied to USC, Vanderbilt, Wake Forrest, and GT. Have had offers from USC and WF and still waiting to hear from the others. Unless you get a 1st class, then I think lack of legal experience may hinder your chances of getting in, especially to Ivy League/ top 10 law schools.
Hope this helps!

I just want to reiterate this point. Lyman's advice is really good; get some experience before applying.
