Hi All,
I am from Argentina and new here. I have almost completed my application to UF Int. Tax. Program. I am only missing my TOEFL scores.
I have read that some of you got your acceptance letters. Do you know if international students get a response later? There is anyone else from Argentina? Do you know if UF can review my file without my TOEFL scores?
Thanks,
UF ITP

Hi Av,
UF sent me an e-mail message today with the decision letter attached, and they told me that I will receive the letter by ordinary mail also.

Thank you Av! I am not from Argentina I`m from Mexico.
I also applied to Northwestern and Boston University, I have been addmited by both, but I think I am going to Florida.
I was rejected by Georgetown, and I still have not received decisions from Miami and Harvard

I applied to the NYU ITP also, but have not heard from them yet. Also, I am waiting to hear if UF will provide financial aid. Florida is among my top choices.

Not yet but I pretend to, I am reading a part where it says as follows "All admitted students are considered for financial assistance avaiable throuh the Graduate Tax Program. No separate application is necessary. Graduate Tax Program awards and scholarships are generally in the form of a graduate assistantsship or othe research appointment, and are tipically made begining in late spring."

I completed my application on 3/16 and they sent me the admission on 3/21 via email. A very smooth process! Now my only concern is the employiability. Anyone got any information about this?BTW I am from Taiwan!

I would suggest you to contact their admission officer, Trudi Reid, directly if you have any concerns. I have a great communication experience with her throughout my application process.
Cheers

Congratulations! AV
For those admitted into UF, how about we open a forum here to share our thoughts, experience and career planning? A Professor teaching me international taxation (also a tax partner in big 4)suggest that I'd better have 1-2 year tax work experience before I study aborad so I am now considering whether to ask for deferal from UF. Anyone can give me some advice?
Many Thanks!

Congratulations! AVAbout the deferral, UF doesn´t have a deferral program as Georgetown or other big universities does. They ask you to contact them during the next year admission process, in order to submit again your application file (the same documents of this year, you dont have to send any other document again) to the admission commitee. They say that normally the commitee admit you again. I received this information from Professor Fried, because I´m asking for deferral, too. Good Luck!!!
